Recovery Breath (AKA: Small Breath Holds)
Recovery breath is often used as an 'emergency' exercise during the first sign or symptoms of anxiety, panic or an asthma attack. It’s very difficult to slow your breathing down when it’s out of control, so instead try this exercise.
It’s best to practice during times when you are not stressed so that you become comfortable with this exercise and are able to use it anytime you need.
Benefits:
an effective way to calm anxiety, stress, racing mind, panic, and stop
symptoms of asthma, improve sleep, as well as open up blood vessels and
increase the amount of oxygen released to tissues and organs including
the brain.
(*not recommended for anyone pregnant).
